Brief Description of the Conductor:
Ms. Shriya Maini is a young, bright, scholarly advocate turned entrepreneur practicing at the Supreme Court of India and the Delhi High Court at New Delhi. She specializes in cross – border dispute resolution including immigration laws and as an unabashed feminist, particularly enjoys criminal and matrimonial litigation. A gold medalist from Gujarat National Law University, Ms. Maini worked with erstwhile Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas and Suresh A. Shroff, as an Associate in their Dispute Resolution Team. Subsequently, Ms. Maini post graduated in laws from the University of Oxford, U.K on a full scholarship sponsored by Dr. Harish Salve, namely the Dr. Mrs. Ambruti Salve Scholarship 2014-15. As a recipient of the Oxford Global Justice Award 2015-16 for Excellence in Public International Law, she assisted the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (MICT) at The Hague, Netherlands – a United Nations court of law dealing with war crimes that took place during the conflicts in the Balkans in the 1990s. She is now back in India to pursue her passion in litigation and as an experienced Immigration attorney, works as an independent consultant for cross-country migrations, including emerging issues in asylum practice. Additionally, Ms. Maini serves as Visiting Faculty for International Criminal Law and Criminology at National Law University, Delhi and as Adjunct Faculty for Human Rights at Lloyd Law College, Noida.
