ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Generally, Applicants must be a current final year law student or research scholar. In select circumstances, we may consider a candidate with a demonstrated interest in law and policy.

Our ideal candidate will have an unflagging commitment to our mission, a sense of urgency about the need to talk about current laws, need for new laws and public policies that effects lives every day, and strong research, writing, and communication skills.

WORK RESPONSIBILITIES:

The fellows will develop their analytical and legal writing skills by working directly with the editorial board, including performing traditional case law research, preparing legal news from latest updates in legal fraternity, reviewing draft & pending bills in Parliament, surveying state law, and researching legislative history. When possible, fellows are invited to attend events, meetings & panel discussions.

Work Profile:
1. The fellows are required to track and write news reports on legal fraternity, database creation, Summarise parliamentary documents, track public policies and decisions of the union cabinet, ministry of the union, and states as assigned.
2. The fellows need to work on a detailed public policy research report by conducting in-depth research on the subject assigned and communicating/interviewing the stakeholders to get inputs.
3. The fellow is required to keep track of the latest legal and public policy issues for submitting regular write-ups.
4. Plan and edit the contents of publications according to the publication’s style, editorial policy, and publishing requirements. Writing News Stories, Articles, Research papers, etc.
5. To oversee the creation and implementation of an organization’s social responsibility objectives like tie-up with NGOs, State Govts, Corporates, etc for organizing social cause campaigns, sessions etc.
6. Taking Interviews of Stakeholders, Managing and Hosting Knowledge Sessions for Legal Fraternity, Interns and In-House team.
7. Developing Course contents and content for Monthly Newsletters.
