Bharucha & Partners, a full-service law firm headquartered in Mumbai, and Arthe Law, a Delhi-based multi-speciality law firm announce the merger of their practices with effect from the 1st of November 2017, under the brand of Bharucha & Partners.
The merged firm now offers expertise across practice areas including M&A, Competition Law, PE, Banking & Finance, Capital Markets, Intellectual Property, TMT, Employment, Infrastructure, General Corporate Advisory, Corporate & Commercial Litigation, Regulatory Litigation, White Collar Crime, Legal Audit, Sports, Energy, Media, and Space Law.
The firm has 12 Partners: MP Bharucha, Alka Bharucha, DP Singh, Abhishek Malhotra, Justin Bharucha, Vishnu Dutt, Vandana Pai, Arjun Anand, Deepak Biswas, Kaushik Moitra, Ajai Achuthan, and Sonam Gupta. Bharucha & Partners, which already has an operational office in Delhi, will move to Arthe’s 25,000 sq. ft. office, to house the current strength of about 30 lawyers, including 6 Partners. Arthe’s Mumbai office will now move to the South Mumbai offices of Bharucha & Partners, while also retaining their office in Andheri to be able to service their Media clients. The Mumbai offices will have a combined strength of about 50 lawyers, taking the total strength of the Firm to around 80 lawyers.
Arthe Law was formed in April 2017 from the merger of the boutique technology, media, and telecom law firm TMT Law Practice and New Delhi-based lawyer, and former AAG of the State of Punjab & Haryana, DP Singh’s DPSA Legal.
