Apex Court is flooded with Transfer Petitions of wives owing to cases filed by Husbands at distant places.

Working towards the quick disposal of  the matrimonial disputes, Supreme Court has directed all the trial courts to use the  modern technology such as the video-conferencing in the cases where both the parties are residing in the different cities.

Directive has come from Apex Court Bench comprising of Justice Arun Mishra and Justice Amitava Roy while hearing transfer petition in a case.

Transfer Retitions were filed by a women in Apex Court to get cases filed by their husbands to jurisdiction of court where she resides.

While refusing to give any relief to party, Supreme Court expounded that, “We have devised a method of video-conferencing. You should tell your clients to resort to the video-conferencing.”

Justice Misra further enunciated that,“Every day, atleast 30 to 40 of transfer petitions are listed before us. We are fed up of hearing them. You should stop filing these petitions”.
