The Army Institute of Law is going to announce the 7th Edition of its National Moot Court Competition – “Checkmate 2017”.
Date: 3rd – 5th March, 2017
Venue: Army Institute of Law, Sector 68, Mohali, Punjab.
Eligibility:
Participation is restricted to bona-fide law students either enrolled in the 3-year LL.B law course or the 5-year integrated law course.
Team Composition:
Only one team from each participating college shall be registered for the competition. Each team shall comprise of either three members (two Speakers and one Researcher) or two members (two Speakers) only.
Registration:
- Participation for the Competition is strictly by Registration (First-cum-first -serve basis).
- The teams should register through e-mail by sending an email to: mcs@ail.ac.in (with subject “Moot Court Registration: Checkmate 2017”) by 20th January, 2017.
- The hard copy of the registration form along with the Demand Draft of Rs. 4500/- should reach the organizers latest by 21st February, 2017. The Demand Draft should be drawn in favor of “Registrar, Army Institute of Law, Mohali” payable at Mohali.

- No change in the names of the participants shall be permitted unless the same has been communicated to the organizers, a week prior to the event.
- No certificates shall be provided at the time of the Registration or during the competition. The same shall be provided only after the Valedictory Ceremony. No certificates shall be couriered.
Hospitality:
The participants would be provided accommodation for the period of the Competition at the premises of the Institute. Please note that separate accommodation will be provided for girls and boys. The accommodation will be provided from 2nd March, 2017, post 1400 hrs to 6th March 2017 before 1300 hrs.
