The Advanced Criminal Law Studies Committee, School of Law, Christ University, Bangalore is proud to announce the organisation of the 2nd National Trial Advocacy Competition & Judgement Writing Competition 2017.
This event is a unique blend of two innovative competitions specially designed to hone and harness the legal debate and judgment writing intelligence of law students across the country.
The Competition is intertwined with the objective to train students in the area of trial advocacy and also to cultivate the art of writing a judgment, which remains a fundamental skill in implementing the rule of law and delivering justice.
The competition will witness the participation of the finest of all law students from various law schools across the length and breadth of the country.
This competition is designed for teams of three participants, made up of two advocates and a witness, featuring two preliminary rounds in which teams of two lawyers try the case on each side. Successful teams advance through to Quarter finals, Semifinals and subsequently to the Finals.
Witnesses will be provided for the Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Final. One member from the team will participate in the Judgement Writing Competition.
Dates
The competition will be held from 23rd February 2017 – 26th February 2017. We hereby cordially invite your esteemed institution to participate in the aforementioned competition.
Registration Deadline
We will be glad if you could complete the provision registration of your team by or before 5th February 2017.
It is mandatory to fill in the Provisional Form in order to participate in this event.
Soft and Hard copies of the actual form are to be sent only once the Provisional Registration has been confirmed.
Strictly one team per institution is allowed to participate.
The competition is open for 24 teams to participate, which will be decided on first come first serve basis.
Important Dates
Last date for provisional registrations via Google Forms: 23.59 hrs, 2nd February, 2017.
Last date to send the soft copies of the registration form along with other necessary document: 20.00 hrs, 5th February, 2017.
Last date to send the hard copies of the registration form along with other necessary document: 23.59 hrs, 10th February, 2017.
All hard copies must reach the hosts at the provided mailing address before 23.59 hrs, 10th February, 2017.
